Defendant, Michael Moretti, a Chicago police officer attached for duty with the office of the State's Attorney of Cook County,
was convicted in the criminal court of said county of the murder of 15-year-old Arthur Gamino who, together with Edward Salvi,
21 years old, lost his life in a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours of August 24, 1951. The first grand
jury to consider the charge against defendant returned a no bill; a second, however, endorsed and returned the indictment
as a true bill.
